Outdoor venues do not always come with firm, level ground. After a few hours of rain or repeated vehicle traffic, grass can quickly become rutted, slippery, and difficult to use.
BKM ground protection mats provide temporary walkways, vehicle access routes, parking areas, loading zones, and stable surfaces around stages and production areas. They are commonly used at music festivals, sporting events, fairs, exhibitions, weddings, film sets, and other outdoor gatherings.
For pedestrian routes, service carts, and light event equipment, 10–15 mm mats are usually sufficient, with static load ratings of around 50–60 tons. Where production trucks, forklifts, cranes, or staging equipment need access, reinforced mats from 25 to 60 mm provide greater support, with ratings ranging from 120 to over 300 tons.
The mats can be laid over grass, mud, sand, or uneven ground, helping protect the venue while keeping setup, event operations, and dismantling on schedule.
