Snow & Winter Access

Winter work sites can change quickly. Packed snow may become uneven, frozen ground may soften during warmer periods, and repeated vehicle traffic can create deep ruts beneath the surface.
BKM ground protection mats provide temporary roads, parking areas, equipment routes, and work platforms for winter construction, utility maintenance, forestry, mining, emergency response, and ski resort operations.
The mats are available in thicknesses from 10 to 60 mm, with static load ratings from 50 to over 300 tons. They can support service vehicles, trucks, excavators, cranes, crawler equipment, and other heavy machinery.
Textured surfaces provide additional grip for tyres and tracks, while connectors help keep adjoining mats aligned as vehicles pass over them. The system reduces snow displacement, limits ground disturbance, and provides a more predictable route throughout installation, operation, and seasonal removal.
