Connected HDPE routes from your site entrance to the work area

A construction access route needs to reach the unloading point, not stop at the gate. BKM supplies portable HDPE construction access mats for suitable service vehicles and compact equipment on assessed supporting ground. We help you plan the entrance, travel lane, turning space and final approach as one connected layout. Our panels can be recovered as your work moves, with the next route checked before reuse.

Key Features & Advantages

  • Plan from the gate to the stopping point. Mark the entrance, lane, unloading approach and return movement before estimating your order. We configure the mat layout around that complete journey, including any space needed to reverse. Protecting only a straight section can leave tires outside the covered area where your vehicles turn or stop.
  • Use a defined portable reference. Our two-sided HDPE reference measures 1220 × 2440 mm with a 12.7 mm body, approximately 22.7 mm overall thickness and a weight of about 41 kg. These figures help you plan handling and storage. They do not establish that every delivery vehicle can use the route.
  • Include occasional deliveries in selection. List the loaded vehicles that will enter, not just the compact machine used every day. Send axle loads, wheel or track details and expected passes with your ground information. An infrequent heavier delivery still needs its own route assessment; do not extend a service-vehicle approval by assumption.
  • Cover turns and changes in width. Show corners, passing places and unloading positions on your sketch. We review compatible panel orientation and connections for those areas instead of calculating solely from route length. Keep the vehicle swept path on the supported mat surface rather than relying on two narrow wheel strips through a bend.
  • Supply the connectors with the route. We can review two-way and four-way arrangements against the selected hole layout. Count the actual junctions and identify replacement hardware with the order. Check connections after initial traffic and when a route moves; similar panel dimensions do not by themselves establish compatibility with existing stock.
  • Make relocation part of the handling plan. Tell us the available unloading space and how often your route will move. Carry openings help with positioning, but a 41 kg panel still requires a suitable handling method. Retain an accessible recovery path so the final mats can be removed without stranding equipment beyond them.
  • Keep access matched to changing ground. Remove debris before laying panels, keep tread clear and inspect settlement, edges and joints during use. Recheck the route after rain or a change in vehicles. Where portable panels no longer suit the traffic or support conditions, review a heavier system or ground preparation rather than continuing on a failing route.

Applications

  • Building-site gate to unloading bay. Lay a connected route for approved compact plant and service deliveries from an established entrance to the receiving area. Include the final turn and supported stopping space. Check any heavier delivery separately before it joins the same portable-mat route.
  • Extensions with restricted side access. Use a removable panel layout where equipment must pass between an existing building and the active work area. Measure gates, corners and room for panel handling before selecting the format. Revise the route when barriers or material-storage positions change.
  • Utility access during phased construction. Connect established hardstanding to successive drainage or electrical work locations for suitable service traffic. Keep the route outside excavation restrictions and reassess the ground at each move. Recover completed sections only when your removal equipment still has a supported exit.

Two-sided portable HDPE reference for a gate-to-work-area access enquiry. Confirm the final surface, hole layout and production drawing before ordering.

This configuration requires suitable ground support and an assessment of the actual traffic. Deep mud, unsupported voids and concentrated outrigger loads are outside this portable travel-access specification. Related case-study specifications remain project-specific.

Company Certifications
Quality Assurance

Certified for Global Standards

Each batch undergoes thorough inspection on the shop floor. Raw material is tested upon arrival, as well as finished parts upon completion. Anything failing to conform to specifications is not shipped out.

ISO 9001 Quality Management

ISO 9001:2015 certification requires written processes, production control measures, and traceability of the process from initial raw material to finished part. More critically, ISO helps us maintain tolerances across multiple batches, rather than just in theory.

Food-Grade FDA Compliance

In cases of applications involving food production, only selected types of HDPE and UHMWPE materials which conform to FDA food-grade standards are used. These grades are usually utilized in cutting surfaces, guides, and wear parts.

RoHS Compliant Manufacturing

Materials comply with RoHS environmental regulations in terms of substance content restrictions. This is ensured by monitoring the components of the material, rather than the finished part.

Traceable Material Test Reports (MTR)

Material test reports available upon request include mechanical properties such as tensile strength and impact value, as well as wear information and dimensional checks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Send the length, usable width, gate clearance and a sketch showing turns, reversing and stopping positions. Include the return path and passing places where needed. We work from the connected layout and actual junctions, not simply total square meters divided by one panel area.

That depends on wheel spacing, the actual vehicle path, ground support and permitted movements. Two straight strips may not cover turns, reversing or a mixed vehicle fleet. Provide the route and vehicle details so the proposed coverage can be reviewed rather than assuming strips suit every access task.

Not automatically. The loaded truck may have different axle loads, tire contact and turning requirements. Send those details before allowing it onto the same route. A panel selection for one machine is not a general approval for every delivery vehicle entering the site.

Review the panel height, approach angle, supporting ground and any change in surface level. Keep wheels and connectors supported at the entrance. Any additional transition material or equipment must be arranged as part of your site plan; it is not assumed to be included with our panels.

Yes, serviceable panels and connectors can be recovered and repositioned. Review the new ground, vehicles and layout first, and retain access for the recovery equipment. Count and inspect the panels and hardware before treating them as ready for the next section.

No. These HDPE panels are specified for supported travel access, not concentrated outrigger reactions. Crane, boom-lift or concrete-pump setup needs a separate support assessment and suitable pads. Approval for the approach route does not authorize lifting operations on that same arrangement.

Send your gate-to-work-area sketch, vehicle models, loaded weights and axle or track details, ground photos, expected passes and turning movements. Add the approximate quantity, destination and unloading method. We can then review the portable panel format and matching connection package with you.
