Mining and quarry sites often involve loose soil, mud, sand, uneven terrain, and weak subgrades. These conditions can slow down vehicles, damage access routes, and make equipment positioning more difficult. BKM heavy-duty ground protection mats can be used for temporary haul roads, drilling areas, maintenance platforms, equipment routes, and working zones. Thicknesses range from 38 to 60 mm, with static load ratings from 160 to over 300 tons. They are designed for demanding equipment such as haul trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, drilling rigs, crawler machines, cranes, and service vehicles. By spreading wheel and track loads over a larger area, the mats help prevent equipment from sinking and reduce the deep rutting caused by repeated traffic. This gives crews a more reliable surface for excavation, transport, servicing, and day-to-day site operations, especially in remote areas where permanent roads are not practical.
