Key Features & Advantages
Keep repeated traffic on a defined route. Our panels separate wheels and tracks from the underlying surface and help distribute traffic loads. A planned access lane limits direct ground disturbance from deliveries and equipment moving between work areas.
Select the panel around the job. Portable HDPE panels suit ground protection and appropriate lighter access duties; thick solid UHMWPE panels provide another option for demanding equipment routes. We review the loaded vehicles and supporting ground before specifying the mat construction.
Extend access as work progresses. Connected panels can form straight routes or wider areas at delivery points. Sections can be removed and repositioned when crews move to a new work front, making the same mat inventory useful through successive project stages.
Choose a surface for the actual traffic. Raised tread gives tires and tracks a defined running surface above the ground. Specify the texture with the equipment type and cleaning routine in mind, and review any shared pedestrian use separately.
Coordinate joints with the panel layout. We supply compatible connection options for the selected mat design. Confirming hole positions and links together helps crews assemble the route without improvising joins between mismatched panels.
Reuse plastic panels after muddy work. HDPE and UHMWPE do not rot like timber. Mats can be washed, checked and stacked between jobs, giving contractors a durable alternative to repeatedly replacing damaged wooden boards.
Applications
Construction entrances and delivery access. Lay construction access mats between the entrance, unloading point and active work area. Select panel construction and route width for the loaded delivery vehicles, site equipment and frequency of travel.
Utility and pipeline corridors. Create temporary access for service trucks and installation equipment along changing work sections. Plan how the route will be extended and recovered as excavation, installation and maintenance crews progress.
Industrial equipment and service routes. Use heavy duty access mats on suitable supporting ground where repeated equipment movements would disturb an unprotected surface. Include loading points and changes of direction in the layout.
Landscaping and grounds access. Use appropriately selected HDPE access mats to carry equipment across lawns and maintained green spaces. Plan coverage duration and removal with the site team so completed sections can be uncovered promptly.
Reference formats from our plastic access mat range. The portable and heavy solid panels are different constructions; dimensions and material should be selected together for the intended route.

Nominal panel area is calculated from length and width. Quantities must allow for the actual layout, entrances and working areas. Final equipment suitability depends on ground support, axle or track loads and traffic movements; these dimensions are not a universal load rating.
