Reusable industrial access panels selected around the actual exposure

BKM supplies chemical-resistant composite mats for temporary industrial access where vehicle traffic and potential chemical exposure must be considered together. Our polymer composite panels form removable, connected routes and work areas; we review the chemical, concentration, temperature and contact duration before confirming a suitable material and specification.

Key Features & Advantages

  • Exposure-led material selection. We review your chemical list and operating conditions alongside the selected polymer formulation. This defines the compatibility requirement for your project instead of treating chemical resistance as an unlimited material guarantee.
  • Large connected coverage. Our cellular composite format uses overlapping edges and bolted connections to build temporary routes. The connected footprint helps distribute vehicle traffic while the underlying ground continues to provide support.
  • Textured working surface. Raised patterns provide a defined tread surface for the route. Select the pattern around vehicle tires and cleaning access, and remove contamination before reopening affected areas.
  • Recovery for repeat projects. Panels can be dismantled, cleaned and inspected for another job. Reviewing the exposure history before redeployment helps separate usable stock from panels that need further assessment.
  • Format and connection coordination. We can discuss panel geometry, hole positions and matching hardware with the route drawing. Material compatibility must cover the connection components as well as the panel body.
  • Order identification and packing. Color, marking and packaging options can help organize project sets. Agree the required identification and packing list so receiving crews can distinguish panels, hardware and replacement parts.

Applications

  • Industrial plant maintenance routes. Temporary access for service vehicles around plant shutdown or extension work, after the site team has assessed possible chemical contact, ground support and traffic.
  • Oilfield and energy service areas. Connected access for support vehicles and equipment where incidental oil or process-fluid contact is part of the procurement review. Keep any required spill-control system separate from the mat route.
  • Reusable contractor access sets. Removable routes that move between industrial projects, with cleaning, exposure records and inspection included in the return-to-stock process.

Cellular composite reference format for route planning. The purchase specification must identify the exact polymer formulation and agreed exposure conditions before chemical compatibility is confirmed.

Parameter Reference format Procurement check
Transport dimensions 4350 × 2430 mm Allow for unloading and storage space
Effective dimensions 4160 × 2240 mm Confirm overlap and route layout
Effective coverage 9.31 m² per panel Calculate turns and edge allowances separately
Panel thickness 102 mm Review entrance transitions
Reference weight 465 kg Plan mechanical handling
Connection Bolted overlap; 8 bolts Confirm hardware material and layout
Material Polyethylene cellular body Confirm exact grade for chemical review

Dimensions and weight describe the reference format, not a chemical test result. Chemical suitability and vehicle support require separate checks. These panels are not specified as a liquid-tight containment system or a substitute for a spill tray, liner or bund.

Company Certifications
Quality Assurance

Certified for Global Standards

Each batch undergoes thorough inspection on the shop floor. Raw material is tested upon arrival, as well as finished parts upon completion. Anything failing to conform to specifications is not shipped out.

ISO 9001 Quality Management

ISO 9001:2015 certification requires written processes, production control measures, and traceability of the process from initial raw material to finished part. More critically, ISO helps us maintain tolerances across multiple batches, rather than just in theory.

Food-Grade FDA Compliance

In cases of applications involving food production, only selected types of HDPE and UHMWPE materials which conform to FDA food-grade standards are used. These grades are usually utilized in cutting surfaces, guides, and wear parts.

RoHS Compliant Manufacturing

Materials comply with RoHS environmental regulations in terms of substance content restrictions. This is ensured by monitoring the components of the material, rather than the finished part.

Traceable Material Test Reports (MTR)

Material test reports available upon request include mechanical properties such as tensile strength and impact value, as well as wear information and dimensional checks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Send the chemical name or safety data sheet, concentration, temperature and expected contact time. We assess the exact proposed material against that information; a broad polymer description does not establish compatibility with every acid, solvent or mixture.

No. State whether contact is an isolated splash, repeated wetting or prolonged exposure, and how quickly the material will be cleaned. Include heat, vehicle loading and cleaning agents in the review because the combined conditions matter.

Our bolted access panels are not supplied as a verified liquid-tight containment system. Where containment is required, the project must specify an appropriate separate system and assess how the mat layout interacts with it.

The reference cellular panel measures 4350 × 2430 mm for transport and weighs 465 kg. Check mechanical handling capacity, route width, vehicle loads, ground support and entrance transitions before confirming this format.

Chemical compatibility and surface traction are different questions. Isolate and clean an affected route under the site procedure, then check the surface and connections before returning vehicles to service.

Agree a cleaning method suitable for both the substance and the selected panel material, including how residues and wash water will be managed. Inspect panels and hardware after cleaning; keep damaged or uncertain panels out of the next deployment until assessed.

Yes. Send your exposure details, vehicle information, ground conditions, route dimensions and delivery location so we can discuss samples and a suitable specification. Include required markings, hardware and unloading arrangements in the request.
